Author · Story Mentor

Stories should do more than entertain.

Feather & Iron Pen equips emerging writers with the tools and guidance they need to communicate a deeper message through the art of powerful storytelling.

Storytelling is among humanity’s oldest and most influential arts.

It invites us to wrestle with the deepest questions: good and evil, identity and belonging, courage and sacrifice.

Words shape culture. That power should not be taken lightly.

Meet Anastasia Starr

Writing to awaken courage and deepen thought.

Anastasia Starr, author and classical educator

Anastasia Starr has been captivated by stories for as long as she can remember. What began as handmade books for her siblings has grown into a lifelong passion to write stories that awaken wonder and point readers toward truth.

Classically educated from an early age, Anastasia developed a love of literature and the enduring ideas found within great books. She holds a B.A. in Human Communications, Arts, and Rhetoric. As a classical education facilitator, she brings thoughtful dialogue, careful craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for timeless stories to both her teaching and her writing.

When she’s not reading or writing, Anastasia enjoys painting, writing songs, watching period dramas, and lingering over coffee with her family.

The Feather & Iron Philosophy

“Storytelling encourages us to think critically about the deep, fundamental questions and concepts that we all wrestle with.”

Feather and iron sound paradoxical, but they are complementary. In one hand, you must have imagination, beauty, and sensitivity. In the other, you must have discipline, conviction, and strength. Together they express gentleness properly understood: strength under control.

Writing is powerful. Knowing when and how to use that power is part of the responsibility of every author.
