Information we collect

When you join the release list, you provide an email address and may also provide your name. If you email us or request a conversation, we receive the information you choose to include in that communication or scheduling request.

The website’s hosting and security provider may also process basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and request logs, to deliver and protect the site.

How we use information

We use information to:

• manage the release list and send news about A Time for War and related author updates;
• respond to messages and mentorship inquiries;
• arrange requested conversations; and
• operate, maintain, and protect the website.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Service providers and external links

Zoho Campaigns processes release-list signups and sends list emails on our behalf. Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, and security services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

The site also links to Calendly for scheduling and Instagram for social media. When you follow those links, the service you visit collects and handles information according to its own privacy policy. This website does not control those external services.

Cookies and technical data

Feather & Iron Pen does not currently place advertising or analytics cookies on this website. Cloudflare may process limited technical data necessary to deliver and secure the site. External services, including Zoho, Calendly, and Instagram, may use cookies or similar technologies when you interact with them.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from the release list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any list email. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information held by Feather & Iron Pen by emailing starr@featherandironpen.com. We may need to verify your request before completing it.

How long we keep information

Release-list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for legal, security, or recordkeeping purposes. Messages and scheduling information are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide the requested service, or maintain appropriate business records.

Children’s privacy

This website and its release list are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so it can be removed.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards and reputable service providers to protect information, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their privacy practices and applicable safeguards.
